In other news: We're continuing our guild saga with some smaller events in the nearer future. Plans are also in the making for the upcoming Halloween!

The Waykeepers, i.e. Brahgi and I are currently working on moving to America. This will make several things in the guild easier, and we will be working on possible rescheduling of for instance our weekly roleplay, as well as possibly adding more (voluntary) weekly events to our calendar.
In the meantime, things might be a bit hectic for us while we get the paperwork sorted out and the moving planned, so I hope you can bare with us for a few months.

We don't want to risk a situation where a large influx of new members suddenly means that someone feels left out, or where people do not get a proper chance to get to know each other.

Guild Wars 2 is an official success and the Wayfarers have been blazing trails within it since day one!  With several new Tenderfeet and potentially more on the "way," it looks like Tyria has been having its roads cleaned a bit often of late.

We have already had several get-togethers and some fun roleplay between members, and we're still in that stage of "new game" feel where everything must be experienced at once.  Without any organization (Hroth I am sure would be proud, as a Norn) people help each other out and group when needed.  Experiencing the game how you want to play is of course always important, however it is always lovely for us Waykeepers to see people running about together.



We have had a couple successful dungeon runs and plan to have even more!  We've even taken on the Shatterer a couple times and showed him who is boss.  We've also set a few things in motion, with tiny plot points opening up for future RP.  We encourage everyone to also have a hand in developing the guild's personal story as time goes on.

We look forward to seeing you in Tyria as time goes on, and can not wait for what the future holds.  Safe Roads!

Launch is right around the corner (as in less than 24), so here is the last bit of information from us before we goes "live"!

Launch time is always a bit chaotic, with possible server instability, name grabbing, character creation and of course guild forming. Brahgi and I will however do our very best to get the guild up and running as fast as possible. Last BWE, the cost of guild founding was 1s, so please be prepared that it might take a bit of time. It's a relatively small amount though and it should be pretty fast/painless to get it set up.

Please make sure to contact either Brahgi, myself or Daxx for your guild invite. After the initial name grabbing madness, I will be playing on Belakane, but you can always add me on Kashemia.3120. Brahgi can be added as Vahsyl.8201.


Since I am sure we will all be busy playing the game the first day, the Weekly [color=#135476][b]Saturday Roleplay is cancelled[/b][/color] on launch day. People are of course more than welcome to meet up for roleplay anyway if they wish so, but we want to give people room to play the game (or possibly sleep).

Seeing as we expect most, not to say all, roleplay to move to the game, we will also be removing two of the IC chat rooms here on the forum. We will leave the last one up for now, in case someone wants to use it though, then we can see in time if it should be removed as well.

Other than that, I'm not sure there's much to say. I hope everyone will have a great time and cannot wait to see you all in game, for good this time!

Daxx will be helping the Waykeepers with the day to day running of the guild as well as providing guidance to those who need it.

We look forward to Daxx's help, and are very grateful for his efforts.

In other news, we have completed our first guild story arch, and the Wayfarers have reclaimed Hroth's old lodge in northern Snowden Drift to use as their base of operation. You can read more about the Wayfarers' Roost here.


There will also be another stress test tomorrow, Thursday August 9th at 3pm EST - 7 pm EST. We hope to see you all there!

While neither asura nor sylvari palooza ended up happening, I still had an awesome time, with some great roleplay, WvsW, structured PVP, Kegbrawl, etc, with you guys.
It was amazing to see such a great turn up for the last event, and I enjoyed seeing all the new asura and sylvari characters.
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend and I know I speak for all the Waykeepers when I say we cannot wait to see you all in game at launch in just a month!


Second: After a few months of hectic summer activity, forcing the guild recruitment in a hold for a bit, Wayfarers will now be opening up for new applications for the next 2 weeks, from Monday July23rd to Monday August 6th. So for people who is interested in applying, now is the time to get in your application!

Characters will be wiped before the test, but we are still not sure if the same goes for guilds. No matter what though, Wayfarers will of course be present, so if you find you are no longer part of the guild, please make sure to contact one of the Waykeepers or let us know in the chat, and we will get everyone added as fast as possible.
We will still be playing on the unofficial NA roleplay server of Tarnished Coast.

We will as usually aim to meet up several times, at least at the usual scheduled roleplay time, Saturday 14pm EST.

The second Guild Wars 2 Beta Weekend Event is coming up this week, beginning on Friday and ending on Sunday. We'd like to take a moment to remind all our players that we will be on the NA RP community server: Tarnished Coast. We hope to see you all then!

Our regularly scheduled Waymoot will take place on Saturday afternoon at 2pm EST (1pm CST, 11am PST). This time around we will be gathering in Hoelbrak with the intent to take a small excursion up into the Wayfarer Foothills, if the overflow system allows it.

Recently we introduced the idea of Wayquests, and thus far we've been very pleased with how folks are taking to them. As a reminder, you're always welcome to submit ideas for Wayquests, or to simply start up your own! We will be looking to implement these more regularly, alongside larger events like Seeking the Roost.

We have had a large amount of applicants since we opened our recruitment again in the beginning of May. We close recruitment again Tuesday, May 15th, so if you are looking to apply, make sure to get your application in by then at the latest.

Our weekly scheduled roleplay will be moved so it is now always on a Saturday, starting at 2pm EST, as opposed to switching between Friday and Saturday.

Roleplay was arranged on an almost hourly basis and both PVE and PVP was conquered in teams as well. We in the leadership are extremely pleased with our little family and cannot wait to see everyone again for the next BWE and, hopefully soon, launch!

Recruitment will remain on hold for the next couple weeks, but the break is paying off and we expect several more people to be joining the Wanderer ranks in the near future.

This weekend, the first official Waferer storyline will begin at our weekly scheduled roleplay, Saturday. If you want to participate, please make sure to sign up at this post.

We are very excited to get it started and hope that as much of the guild as possible will be able to attend.

We're also happy to hear that the first Beta Weekend Event has finally been announced, and we're looking forward to meeting many of our members and friends in game on the weekend of the 27th - 29th of April. More information about the Wayfarer's plans for this weekend will be forthcoming.

In our first month we've seen eleven new members join the ranks, and you can get to know many of them in our Familiar Faces forum. We've also seen an explosion of RP in our IC chat room, with many evenings seeing at least a couple folks chatting and getting to know their characters and others.

In the next month many of us will get a chance to meet up during the first Preview Weekend, available to folks that prepurchased the game this past Tuesday. We will also see the launch of our first guild storyline and the promotion of many new members to the Wanderer rank. Thanks to all of you that have exhibited such patience during these first few weeks of growth.

As the guild focus a lot on OOC relationships, it is important to us that all our new members have the best possible start in the guild, and since we reached almost 15 members a bit more rapidly than we expected, this mean that we feel a need to slow down a bit to get everyone a chance to settle in properly. The guild is already seeing a burst of activity in both our OOC and our IC forum, with roleplay almost every night, and with pre ordering and the first Preview beta coming up, we are going to have our hands full. As a result, we have decided to put recruitment on hold for the rest of the month (april 2012). This mean that we will sadly not be accepting any new applications for the time being, though you are of course still welcome to sign up as a friend on our forum.

We will most likely open up for recruitment again by May, so if you were hoping to apply, do not fret! You will still get your chance!
